Taking a break

It’s been a little bit over a year since this blog was started.  When I began I didn’t realize the degree to which I would become consumed with hit counts, referring urls and daily reading material.  Socrates said that “the unexamined life is not worth living.”  It’s time to take a break for examination and reflection.

    I too am in the midst of a similar reduction in online reading and commentary (e.g., http://twitter.com/bill_starr ).

    It is necessary sometimes to ask who is the one in charge of our daily use of time.

    I.e., our own mind, acting in our own best interest (as best we can determine), or the information stream we have signed up for.
