“Whatever it takes”

In The Law, Bastiat defined plunder as using the government to do to your neighbor what you yourself don’t have the right to do.  This LewRockwell blog post links to a clear and shameful example.  The families’ representative says that they have worked “…within in the process, following protocol as much as we possibly can…” but that they will do “whatever it takes” to take someone else’s property for a memorial.

Losing a loved one to violence is tragic.  It doesn’t justify, however, perpetrating more injustice to still others.
